The Wembly Practice hosted a successful Health & Wellness Open Day for all members of the public on Friday 5th May 2017. See pictures from the event below.
The event was well attended, mixed with members of the general public, registered patients, local healthcare providers and surgery staff, as well as PPG representatives for the practice.
Attendees had the opportunity to meet with the Practice Manager together with new and long standing staff members of the practice. The event helped to raise awareness about a number of local healthcare service providers, all of which are accessible through the surgery for patients and local residents. Along with this, there were also free mini health checks and face painting for the younger visitors.
The event also provided a great platform for local healthcare services to engage with one another, promoting a community based approach to healthcare.
The local services that attended included AGE UK Brent, an organisation providing services to older people in and around the Brent area, Heart of Gold support group, offering advice and support to patients following any heart related problems, Brent & Harrow Community Health Team, as well as:
- IAPT Talking Therapies
- Community Diabetes Team
- Brent Carers
- Healthwatch Brent
- Alzheimer’s Society
- Like Minded Brent
- Sexual Health and Reproductive Clinic
- GoodGym Brent
- African Dance and Theatre Training (ADANTA)
AT Medics were delighted to host this event, and extend special thanks to the practice team who made this all possible.
